Look for a Windfinder alternative when you can name the feature or workflow you want to change. Try Windy.com for map exploration, Windguru for forecast tables, or WindUp for a live station alarm. You may only need an additional tool rather than a full replacement.
First check what Windfinder already includes
Windfinder publishes live station reports. It also documents forecast-based wind alerts in Plus. Earlier copy here described those features too broadly; check the trigger and plan instead of assuming it has no observations or alerts.
If the forecast and reports already work at your spot, keep them while evaluating alternatives.
Choose a different map workflow
Try Windy.com if your main goal is exploring weather across a region. Open the same location and hours you use in Windfinder and see which presentation makes wind, gusts and direction easier to read.

A change in interface is useful if it helps you read the data; it does not by itself establish better accuracy.
Add an alarm based on a supported station
WindUp offers a free live wind alarm with optional Pro extras. It is worth trying if you want to hear when measured wind matches the conditions you choose.
Check the station location and timestamp before setting the alarm. A sensor at another elevation or behind an obstruction may not represent your launch. Review notification permissions on your phone as well.
Make the decision at your home spot
Compare the same forecast hour, units and wind measure. Check which station observations are available, then identify any paid feature you genuinely need. A useful local workflow matters more than a global station count or a broad app score.
