Your station appears on the map and in search, with live wind, gusts and direction. People planning a session see your spot instead of guessing from a forecast.

We publish it
Your readings start arriving immediately. Once we can see real data flowing, your station goes live in the app, your Pro switches on, and your five codes come through.

Ecowitt & Fine Offset gateways
GW1000, GW1100, GW2000, WS-series consoles and most rebadged clones. They already know how to do this — it's the built-in Customized Server setting.
In the WSView / WSView Plus app: Device → Weather Services → Customized, set protocol to Ecowitt, then paste in the server, port and path we give you. An upload interval of 16 seconds is plenty.
Weather Underground protocol
Davis via WeatherLink, Ambient Weather, Froggit, Misol and most older consoles. If your station can already upload to Weather Underground, it can upload to us — it's the same protocol.
Point it at the server and path we give you, use the station ID we show, and paste our key into the password field. Nothing else changes.
Everything else
A Raspberry Pi, an Arduino, a script scraping your own dashboard — anything that can make an HTTP request.
We give you a private URL. POST it a small JSON object whenever you have a reading:

List your station
Nothing here is permanent — we review every station before it appears in the app, and you can pull it any time.
Listing starts with an account, so your station has somewhere to live. We email you a sign-in link — there is no password to remember. From your dashboard you can add a station, watch its readings arrive, edit how your spot appears in the app, and hand out your Pro codes.
Already listed a station by email before? Sign in with that same address and it will be waiting for you.

What does it cost to list my station?
Nothing. Listing is free. You get WindUp Pro for 12 months automatically, plus 5 more Pro codes to hand out however you like — your instructors, your staff, your crew. They renew for as long as your station keeps reporting.
What happens if my station goes offline?
Nothing, for a while. We check every station once an hour and keep 30 days of results, and you can see your own uptime any time in the app. Pro keeps renewing as long as your station is reporting more than half the time over those 30 days — so a dead router, a flat battery or a fortnight of maintenance costs you nothing. It's only a station that stays dark that loses its Pro, because riders are deciding whether to drive to the beach on it.
What hardware works?
Anything that can POST. Ecowitt and Fine Offset gateways (GW1000, GW1100, GW2000 and friends) work out of the box using their built-in Customized Server setting. Everything else — Davis, a Raspberry Pi, a homebrew anemometer, an existing API — can send us a small JSON payload instead.
How long does it take to go live?
Your station starts sending the moment you finish the form; the settings appear on screen straight away. We publish it once we can see real readings arriving, usually the same day.
Who owns my data?
You do. We display your live readings inside WindUp. Ask us to remove your station at any time and it's gone.
Can I correct my readings?
Yes. If your sensor reads a little high or low, or your vane is off true north, tell us and we'll apply a correction to your station. Your raw data is never overwritten.
Will you sell my data?
No. Your readings appear in the WindUp app for riders to use. We don't resell feeds.
