Common questions

Why didn't my alarm ring?
First check that you've allowed time-sensitive notifications and critical alerts for WindUp in Settings → Notifications → WindUp. Without those permissions iOS will silence WindUp like any other app.
How do I change my wind threshold?
Open the alarm, tap the threshold slider, set new minimum and maximum wind speed. Save. Changes take effect immediately.
Can I add a wind station that isn't on the map?
Yes — see our partner page at /stations/. We'll work with you to integrate any modern wind station.
I deleted the app and lost my alarms — can I recover them?
If you used iCloud sync your alarms are restored on reinstall. If not, set them up again — takes about 30 seconds per alarm.
How do I cancel my subscription?
There's nothing to cancel. WindUp is fully free, no subscription required.
I found a bug. Where do I report it?
Email support@windup.live with a screen recording or screenshot if possible. Include your iOS version and the alarm settings you used. We aim to reply within 1–2 business days.
